  1. Hi Rachel, I think you have an excellent plan. The choice of adding a soundproof wall is a good way to create both quiet and collaborative work zones. Have you considered using movable shelving to create even more spaces?

  2. Rachel - Like me, I see you've worked to make practical changes to the space, ones that don't require a complete redesign. Those moveable sound-proof dividers are a great idea. Are they reasonably priced? Would you ever want to open up the entire library? I'm wondering where you would "store" or place the sound-proof dividers?

  4. Hi Rachel, I like your idea of sectioning your library into two. I don't remember seeing any specific work areas for the side with the carpet. I have visited a few libraries that were able to optimize carpet area during lessons by have sets of clipboards handy. I think lap desks would also work, but clipboards are the more economic option. Then students could be instructed on either side of the divide.
