Technology Tools: Questions to Ask

Comments

  1. Matthew here.
Rachel, that first question is certainly a top priority and it makes sense that all other questions should follow it. Many of your questions mirror my own, so it's easy for me to agree with them.
A wish: That some of them were more concise. For example, without losing your intended meaning, could #4 be revised to read, "Can this technology be adapted for the needs of all my learners?" I trended to a "less is better" approach, but maybe my five questions lack precision.
I like the staggered layout and the font is crisp, but I find that with dark text in grey boxes on a dark background, the text doesn't "pop". Perhaps a brighter font?

  2. Hi Rachel,
I like that your questions incorporate pedagogy, safety and the use of technology itself. To echo Matthew's comments, I agree that the text colour doesn't stand out clearly. Using the Canva colour wheel, maybe sage would be a good complementary.

  3. Rachel - I like question 5. I feel this is such an important question because students often lose their work or forget to save it in the correct area. I know many districts have district-wide collaborating spaces for students and teachers to use - where work gets saved automatically in a shared drive. It's a matter of ensuring our students know how to effectively use these tools. As for your design, I really like the muted colours you've used. They're easy on the eyes. But like Phil and Matthew have mentioned, perhaps the font/text colour can be a bit darker.
